I am a nearly retired cardiologist with a passion for linguistics. Born in southern Sardinia, I have been bilingual since birth, both in my official and in my community's native languages (Italian and Sardinian). I am part of an association (Acadèmia de su Sardu) that fights for perfect Italian/Sardinian bilingualism and supports the equal status of the two sardinian major varieties (Campidanese and Logudorese), having also proposed a two-norm standard for official use.
